Sgt. Robbie Williams to head the Community Affairs Unit, which includes Crime-Free Multi-Housing and C.H.A.T.
Sgt. Williams is a 15 year veteran with the Hawthorne Police Department, of which 5 have been served as Sergeant.
His vision for the Community Affairs Unit is best described as a bridge builder between the public and its police services.
Drawing from the philosophies of Community Based Policing, the Community Affairs Unit promotes and fosters educational and informative relationship with the community.

C.H.A.T. Neighborhood Watch / Homeowner Associations
The Neighborhod Watch Team is an extension of the Community Patrols and Crime Prevention Team. The focus of the Neighborhood Watch Team is through the various Homeowner Association Groups throughout Hawthorne. C.H.A.T. serves as the hub of the individual Neighborhood Watch teams and coordinates Uniformed Police Patrols.
